What Is RNGdle?

RNGdle is a daily random-number web game — think Wordle for numbers: you roll one number between 0 and 1,000,000 each day and see how rare it is. Rarity comes from the number's own mathematical and structural traits — primes, Fibonacci numbers, palindromes, repeated digits, runs, symmetries, base representations, and meme numbers like 114514. The rarer the traits it hits, the more precious the number.

Rarity is quantified in EP (entropy points): we pre-scanned all 1,000,001 numbers and counted the true hit rate of each of the 126 traits, then turned those rates into points with an information-entropy formula. The +EP next to every trait sums exactly to the total score — no black box, verify it yourself. Every trait you hit also unlocks its entry in the Number Atlas, and collecting all of them is the long-term goal.

One roll a day not enough? RNGdle Unlimited removes the daily limit — roll as much as you like. Curious about a specific number? The RNGdle Analytics analyzer scores any number instantly.

FAQ

How do I play RNGdle.me?

Click "Roll today's number" once a day — the button locks until tomorrow. Want more? The Rolls page is unlimited, and the Analyze page scores any number you type in.

How is the EP score calculated?

Each trait scores -log2(hits / 1,000,001) × 20, weighted by its rarity rank within its group (100%, 35%, 15%, 7%, 3%). The weighted points of all hit traits are summed and rounded — that's your total.

What is the Number Signature?

A shape fingerprint unique to each number: the x-axis is the digit position, the y-axis is that digit's value (0–9), and the nodes connect into a smooth ribbon. Palindromes draw symmetric hills; runs draw a straight line — you can recognize a number's "shape" at a glance.

What is the Number Atlas for?

It's an encyclopedia of all 126 traits, with exact hit rates, base EP, smallest examples and famous members. Hitting a trait anywhere on the site unlocks its entry and records your best score.

Is my data uploaded to a server?

Not today. The site currently has no accounts or servers — your streak, atlas progress and best scores live only in your browser's localStorage, and clearing browser data resets them. If we add online features like a global leaderboard later, only the data those features need (e.g. a nickname and score) would be uploaded, and we'll say so clearly on the page.

What is mouse trajectory entropy?

At the moment you roll, we mix your pointer movement into the draw — so the number is what it is, rather than some other number, partly because of you. That said, standing perfectly still would still give a fully random result: the system RNG is cryptographically secure on its own. Trajectory entropy adds the feeling of "this number is mine", not extra randomness strength.
